To celebrate the International Women’s Day, let me talk to you about W.I.L.L. As you may recall, Women’s Initiative in Lottery Leadership (WILL) conducted its first Curriculum Training in Atlanta, Georgia immediately prior to PGRI on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Based upon participant feedback, this inaugural session was a tremendous success. During the Training Program, we were proud to also launch the WILL Mentorship Program. Ten professional women and men have already signed up to be Mentors. A training session for these individuals will be conducted via Webex and offered on April 24 or May 1, 2018. Details to follow.
I first wanted to make sure that you were aware of this lottery Mentorship initiative (please see attached presentation from Atlanta). Secondly, and most importantly, please know that you are welcome to offer this opportunity to any of your female employees whom you believe would be interested in becoming a Mentee or any female or male employees interested in becoming a Mentor. You are well aware of how invaluable mentorship is to helping talent achieve its full potential. The need for a mentorship program was identified from the very beginning as a major pillar to help WILL achieve its mission:
To further drive high-performance business growth through supporting the advancement of women into top lottery management leadership and responsibility.
Any of your team interested in signing up as a Mentor or Mentee may apply online at www.womeninlotteryleadership.com.
Please feel free to call me or Wanda Wilson, Chair of the Mentor Committee, at (615) 324-6503 if you would like to discuss further, have any questions, or want more specific program details.
Very Sincerely,
Rebecca Paul Hargrove
