Preliminary Agenda of Roundtable Discussion and Presentation topics:

Roundtable Discussion and Presentation topics:

1.    OPERATIONS:  How are the ways that work is performed, business is conducted, games and services are produced and delivered, inventory is managed, etc. … how have these been changed permanently – i.e. not just short-term adaptations that are likely to revert to pre-pandemic methods of operation?

2.    RETAIL:  How will the retail environment of two years from now be different from two years ago?  How have the manner and methods of servicing and supporting the retailer changed over the last two years, which of those changes are permanent, and how will they change over the next two years?  How is “digitization of the in-store shopping experience” adding value for the consumer and the retailer?  What is the expected growth of in-lane sales, self-serve, and non-traditional POS’s?  What consumer-shopping trends and retailer innovations have re-shaped the way retail is evolving and the way lottery is played at retail, and which of those innovations are here to stay?

3.    GAME DEVELOPMENT and PROMOTION: How have consumer play-styles and preferences changed over the last two years.  What will game portfolios/product mixes look like two years from now?  What are the strategies to optimize growth in the different game categories?  What are the new games that did not exist two years ago that will be important two years from now?

4.     ONLINE and OFF-LINE:  How has iLottery changed over the last two years? Should we expect some of the increase in online spend to migrate back to retail or the rate of online growth continue to climb over the next two years?  To what extent do increased consumer options serve to expand the market?  Will the trend be towards differentiating the online and off-line games, or more towards enabling the players to migrate their play across multiple channels?  How will online games and promotions look different two years from now?

5.    LEGISLATIVE and REGULATORY CHANGE:  How are regulatory changes impacting lottery?  Does sports-betting represent a competitive threat?  How many states will be offering lottery products online two years from now?  What is Lottery doing to position itself to retain player-ship in this increasingly competitive games-of-chance environment?

6.    CREATING ALIGNMENT of PURPOSE:  The effective collaboration between Lottery Operator and its commercial/technology partners is essential to successful long-term growth and service to good causes.  How can RFP’s be designed to elicit the widest variety of attractive options, optimize value to the Lottery, create a platform that is flexible to support ongoing investment in innovation and new technologies, and positions the Lottery for long-term success?  What are progressive lotteries and their commercial/technology partners doing on an ongoing basis to promote alignment of purpose and maximize the productivity and effectiveness of their collaboration?

We so look forward to welcoming everyone there.
